Welcome to Island Med Student!
My name is Kendra and I am a newly minted doctor about to begin my residency in Psychiatry at The State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. I attended Ross University School of Medicine, and went through my basic science training on the Nature Island of Dominica, hence the name of this blog. I am a life enthusiast. AND what i just learned, if you have a really bad sinus infection, then those 5 day antibotics don’t work. Augmentin 875 for 10 twice a day for 10 days, and don’t expect benedryl to help with the really really itchy rash that happens on day 8..also great for weight loss as it totally screws with the stomach. uhh not that i know or anything..please pass the tissues!
