Island Med Student

So, I had some problems getting my emergency medicine rotation schedule, but I finally just got notified of it being available. Here t’is:

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday of this week: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday of next week: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

KILLER! I requested all night shifts, and I got it. Also, they are all back to back days, which rocks, because then I won’t end up with a funky, messed up head because of my internal clock getting all screwy.

I’ve been waiting all day to get my schedule so I would know whether I should go to bed early tonight (to be there by 7 a.m. tomorrow), or stay up late tonight (because I need to sleep all day to go in at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow).

So, it looks like I’ll be staying up as late as possible tonight in order to get my body clock all nice and prepared. I am very much looking forward to night shifts in the ER! Party time, excellent!
