Stuck in the Middle With You
This pic is the view from my backyard. Be jealous. Be very jealous. We’re finally all moved in and I still can’t believe that I actually live here. I keep pinching myself to make sure it’s true.
I’ve been doing something I rarely do. I took a lot of time off from studying. In fact, I haven’t studied in over a week. Crazy? Maybe. But I’ve learned from previous experience that there’s not a whole lot of last minute studying you can do for the Shelves. I’ve finally finished taking them all. Now I only have the last mini exam this Friday, and the comprehensive basic science exam next week. My trip to the States is looming on the horizon. To say that I’m looking forward to the trip would be a gross understatement. So, here I am stuck in the middle. On one side are my two exams that I know I need to study for. On the other side is my trip to the States. And here in the middle is my fantabulously terrific new home. It’s actually not a bad place to be.

Did you move in with the intentions of only staying a few months?
Does it work like that over there?
Yes, we are only planning on staying here for four months, unless I decide to do a rotation here. Landlords here are more flexible about that because they know we are students. Most leases run for a semester, but you can get longer or shorter ones.
