A Breath of Fresh Air
I’ve been a little busy beaver the past few days. No, it doesn’t really have anything to do with med school. Micah and I just moved into a new apartment. It is a 1,000% upgrade from our previous one. We have an absolutely breathtaking view from our huge balcony (see pic, sorry for the poor quality…better ones to come). Everything about this apartment rocks. It’s WAY bigger than our last one, we have couches, we have our own washer and dryer, two balconies, a huge yard, a hammock, access to an herb garden, I mean the list goes on and on. I have a feeling we are going to be quite happy living here for the next four months while I do my semester at the local hospital. In fact, I’m so happy here that I’ve even been entertaining the thought of staying and doing a rotation or two. We shall see.
The intended side effect of this move is already apparent. I feel so energized and ready to conquer the world! My last apartment was just entirely too small for two people and two dogs. I mean, the only place we had to sit was the twin sized bed! And have you ever slept with two people and two dogs in a twin sized bed? Anyway, I am so happy and excited that we got to move. I am going to finish unpacking and cleaning things up today. More good news to come!
