A Huge Thanks to My Friends and Family

Heart Sorry for the lack of info over the past few days. The doctor ended up deciding that it was best to remove the tumor in my breast. I had surgery yesterday morning at Princess Margaret Hospital in Roseau (Dominica). It was quite an interesting experience, as the hospital is VERY different from what you’d see in the States. I plan on writing an article for Medscape about my experience.

I received countless phone calls, emails, and cards from my friends and family before and after the surgery. It’s times like these that you realize how very lucky you are to be surrounded by so many kind and loving people. I really am a very lucky girl. I just wanted to give a huge THANKS to everyone who expressed their concern and support for me. It really means more to me than you can imagine.

I’m currently doing pretty well, and I think I’ll have a speedy recovery. Hopefully, I’ll also get the pathology report back to confirm that it was a fibroadenoma. Again, thanks to all of you. You really made a difference, and made me feel very loved.

With Tons of Love,
Kendra

    Kendra,

Hope you definetly have a speedy recovery and your tumor wasn’t fibroadenoma or cancer.

    Thank you.

    Jessica

I wish you a quick recovery as well. You’ve gone through quite a bit so far in 2007, huh? Good thing life’s not boring.

    hey kendra,

i hope your exotic hospital experience is going well. i remember the time i was admitted to alexandria hospital in nevis for kidney stones. good times. best part was having my friends round on me with the doc in the morning.

hope your incision heals clean, you have a negative path, and the food is good.

    ciao,
    thuc.

    Hi Kendra,

So glad that you had such support – that’s so important. I look forward to hearing about the negative path report.
