I don’t normally complete these types of online questionnaires. Mostly, because I’m lazy like that and I’d much prefer to spend my hours staring intently at a stain on my shirt. However, since I was tagged by a very nice fellow blogger, Dr. K, who seems like a very interesting feller, and since it’s 9:30 in the morning, and I’m on my winter break on a tropical island, trying to look busy, I decided to try my hand. Here goes.

1. Hot Chocolate or Egg Nog?
Whilst I love eggs with a passion that rivals Mel Gibson’s, I must say that given the choice, I’d have to choose hot chocolate. Mostly because my mom used to make the very bestest hot chocolate on the planet, complete with blended marshmallows AND marshmallows on top. You just can’t beat that with a stick.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
Okay, when I first read this, I thought it said, “Does Santa wrap presents, or just sit under the tree?” and the thought of Santa coming from all over the world, navigating his way down a dirty chimney, only to sit there for a few moments under the tree, really made me smile.

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
Have you not seen my hair?

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
No, but I probably would if you gave me some. I don’t think they have it in Dominica.

5. When do you put your decorations up?
Okay, this is when you discover that I’m a Scrooge. Hmmm, I only had a Christmas tree in my apartment one time, and that was many years ago. I guess I have hung up lights a few times, though. I have no idea when I did it. This question is too demanding!

6. What is your favorite holiday dish?
Angelina Jolie in a santa outfit. Oh wait, uhhhh, I mean those sugar cookies with the chocolate hershey kisses in them. I don’t know if that counts as a dish. I’m not much of a food connoisseur. No, seriously, I eat day-old leftover nachos and think it’s tasty.

7. Favorite Holiday memory?
My three sisters and me performing “The Twelve Days of Christmas” for my relatives. I think it made them really happy. We have it on videotape. It rivals the Nutcracker on Broadway.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
This question is scary! Did I miss something in the news? I sincerely hope he hasn’t been trampsing around with Britney Spears and Paris Hilton in short skirts and no underpants!

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
I used to. My family would go to my great aunt’s house on Christmas eve and eat pimento cheese sammiches with pickles and open our gifts from her. Unfortunately, though, we haven’t done that since she passed a few years ago.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?
Similarly to how I dress myself.

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
Love’s it with passion! I hate the cold, but snow makes it all okay again. I miss making snow angels with my sisters. I don’t think they’re calling for snow anytime soon here.

12. Can you ice skate?
I’m sure I could if I tried….on my butt.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
Hmmm, can’t say. I love all gifts.

14. What’s the most important thing?
Following your passions, believing in ideas, even when no one else does, and being happy.

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?
The same as question #6. (Copied Dr. K on that one.)

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Going up to the attic and bringing down all the Christmas decorations with my sisters. Unfortunately, I haven’t done this in a while. I guess I need a new tradition.

17. What tops your tree?
Do you mean what flips my skirt? Rainbows every day of the year! Yes, I have that here. But usually, my Dad tops the tree with a light up star.

18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving?
Giving. You can’t beat it with a candy cane.

19. What is your favorite Christmas Song?
Now we don our gay apparel!

20. Candy canes, Yuck or Yum?
Yum, but the fruity flavors are better!
