Homeless
Last week I began packing everything I own into cardboard boxes and sealing them with color-coded tape (I love Uhaul!). Buckets of sweat and a few bruises later, I was finally ready to move last Saturday. Luckily, my family and friend Dav offered to help me move all of my stuff out of my apartment into a small area in one of my parents’ barns. As of Saturday afternoon, all of my earthly belongings are either packed up in boxes or in my new, pink “4 piece set” luggage.
I feel like a huge Ikea weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. I don’t like owning too much stuff, as the desire to acquire many material possessions is something that I try to avoid.
So, here I am sitting in a Starbucks in North Potomac Maryland, sipping my triple espresso and Pellegrino, eating my eggs Florentine, and blogging about being homeless. I love the smell of irony in the morning. It smells like….espresso!
