Island Med Student

Many of the locals have been mentioning to me that I look like a native bird, but I really didn’t understand what they meant. Today as we were walking home, I met a local named Roger. He told me that he liked my hair and that I looked like Dominica’s national bird, the Sisserou. So, I went home and looked up the Sisserou. Turns out that it is in fact the national bird of Dominica. It’s a parrot, and not only is it the national bird, it’s also on the Dominican flag. And guess who just so happens to look almost exactly like the Sisserou with bright green, red and blue hair? That’s right, yours truly.
